October 31st, 2020 was a beautiful day filled with lots of love and laughs. Stefanie and Ryan tied the knot at Swiss Acres Wedding and Events in Terril Iowa with their closest friends and family. Continue reading to hear about Stefanie and Ryan’s beautiful relationship, from the bride herself!
Ryan and I met back in 2017. I was going to be graduating from Hamline University the next day, and had decided to get dinner with a mutual friend of ours. It was suppose to be just us but friends of Ryan’s were in town and they decided to join us. When Ryan showed up he sat across from me and told me I had a beautiful smile. We had an instant connection and hit it off right away. We haven’t stopped talking since! Our favorite things to do as a couple are spend time with our dogs (Cooper and Stella), travel, and watch all the movies.
Two years later, we had family pictures planned and while I was out getting my hair done, Ryan and his mom went to pick up flowers and set the scene for when I got home. I walked into our home being greeted by our dogs in bows, flowers everywhere and Ryan on one knee!
One of my favorite things we did photo wise was using confetti cannons with our bridal party. After taking our sunset photos we gathered the bridal party together and had them shoot them off while we did a dip kiss. I loved how these photos turned out and so glad we did them since our sparkler photos didn’t turn out that great because of how windy it was.
One funny moment during the ceremony was after my bridesmaids fixed my train and veil, one of Ryan’s groomsmen stepped in to make sure Ryan looked good as well. Even took his pocket square and shined his head!
Another fun moment of the day was having Stella hangout with us girls while getting ready. She refused to leave and needed to be in all the getting ready photos and video. She threw a hissy fit when they tried to kick her out when I was putting my dress on, but don’t worry, she made her way back in!
We had such a great wedding party and photographers that pumped us up and made the day so fun. Having a COVID wedding wasn’t easy, it came with a lot of let downs and disappointments…but our vendors stayed by our sides throughout the process of planning and showed up excited and ready to make our day amazing! Our day was beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for anything more!
