Real Wedding: Taylor & Jeremiah
June 26th, 2021 was the most perfect day for Taylor and Jeremiah. Their wedding at The Pines in Davenport, ND couldn’t have been more beautiful or magical. Continue reading to hear Taylor tell about their beautiful love story!
I was a college student in Fargo, ND & he was a college student in Grand Forks, ND. We both just so happened to be at a barn dance the same night in Arthur, ND (right in between our two college towns). He noticed me across the dance floor & asked me to dance. From the moment he started dancing with me, he swept me right off my feet. I had never swing danced before but this guy surely knew what he was doing. We exchanged numbers that night, & we ended up visiting Arthur’s Barn a couple more times. This is where he took my breath away flipping me in each and every direction. I definitely had my heart stolen at those dances.
From there we continued our relationship long distance. For awhile I lived in Bismarck, ND while he was working in Williston, ND. Eventually we took the step to purchasing a home together in Williston, ND. A couple months later we were back in Minnesota visiting my family & going to a Vikings/Broncos game. Jeremiah’s family and my family planned to both be at the game in the cities for the weekend so we could all be together. That morning we had planned to go to Mall of America early to do some shopping before our families arrived. As we got closer to the cities I realized we were not by the mall. I asked Jeremiah where we were going & he just said he had a surprise.
A little annoyed because I had my mind on shopping (haha), we made our way to a zoo & beautiful botanical garden. We walked around the zoo, took in all the sights, and walked into this stunning botanical garden. Little did I know, this is where he planned to propose. There just so happened to be a bridal party in there taking photos. Jeremy felt like this no longer was the spot to propose & was quick on his toes. Moments later he brought me over to Minnehaha Falls. There, in front of the waterfall he got down on one knee & asked me to marry him. It was the most amazing, special day of my life. We got to share all the excitement with both families that night over dinner as one big happy family. It was the best day ever.
From the engagement to the wedding, it was a little over a year & a half. The wedding day was nothing short of perfect. My favorite part of the day was tapping on Jeremiah’s shoulder for our first look. With tears of happiness in both of our eyes, it was the most beautiful, surreal moment we have waited for for so long.
I also got the opportunity to do a fun dance with my dad where we broke out dancing halfway into the slow dance, the guests went wild and it is something I’ll never forget.
