It was summer of 2014 when Kate & Andy had their first date! Both Kate and Andy had busy lifestyles between work, side businesses and any free time spent with family & friends so online dating was the route they both took. Kate was very skeptical of online dating as it was her first go at it, so after canceling on Andy about 3 times, she finally decided to go on a date with him! She had told her friend she was only going to have coffee and conversation, and would be back in a hour or so, so she could get together with her friend. Kate and Andy met at Centennial Lakes in Edina, for a coffee and a walk. (Still one of their favorite places). Needless to say, the two ended up walking/talking for hours on end! Immediately after the date, Andy texted Kate, and they set up another date, and soon they spent almost every weekend together doing fun actives! Kate still remembers the text Andy sent; “You did not need to wear wedges and a nice outfit for coffee in the park, but when can we meet up again?”

Fast forward to 4 years later; the weekend of 4th of July is Kate & Andy’s tradition to go up to Duluth and spend the weekend! July 7th the couple went on a kayaking trip on Lake Superior. After a few hours of Kayaking they beached for lunch in front of Split Rock Light House. The couple posed for a picture in front of the lake, when Andy got down on his knee and asked Kate to spend the rest of his life with him!

To this day Kate is so thankful Andy didn’t give up after her many rain checks. Some of Kate and Andy’s favorite pastimes currently are; traveling, skiing, hiking/biking, and spending time with their family and close friends and their French Bulldog Layla. By the Grace of God the two are so thankful for the unconditional love they have found together!
